Beverly (Bev) Berner, CLTC®
As a Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC®) professional designee, Bev focuses entirely on long-term care planning as a way to help many of the Boomer generation who may not be prepared, financially or emotionally, to take care of themselves when care is needed in their later years.

Bev’s interest in the Boomer population goes to back 2000, when as a business and career coach, she saw Boomers approach retirement differently than their parents and grandparents.  Always encouraging her clients to take good care of themselves, she developed a coaching program, Act 2®, as a means to help her clients evaluate retirement in a more meaningful way.  After 15 years in the self-help industry, Bev’s transition to long term care planning was a matter of course.

As an independent LTC specialist with Comfort Long Term Care in St. Louis, MO, she now utilizes their depth of experience, range of options, and exemplary level of service, allowing her to support the growing needs of her clients.  Bev’s experience with the Comfort LTC team has shown them to be consummate professionals, coupling outstanding industry knowledge with the highest ethical standards.

Bev is currently involved in several civic, professional and volunteer groups, including being an active member of the Forum and the Professional Women’s Alliance.  She is also involved with Breakthrough Coalition, a group of service providers involved with the elder community; she is Co-chair of the Networking Committee.  Recently Bev has become very involved with the development and launch of the St. Louis Village, which will encourage and enable people not just to "age in place", but more importantly to “age in community”!

In her spare time Bev enjoys the many activities that her neighborhood, the Central West End, has to offer.  She enjoys walking, bicycling, golf and yoga; and she is an avid reader.  Bev also enjoys socializing with her amazing smart, generous and funny friends – and most especially, she enjoys Boswell, her beagle.  Bev adopted Boswell from the Humane Society several years ago.  It is Boswell’s job to make Bev laugh every day.  He does it well.
